Welcome to 'Helen's Driving School', a Basingstoke based, independent driving school providing high quality driving lessons with a fully DSA qualified and approved female driving instructor. Manual lessons only. No automatic lessons offered. All ages and abilities are catered for from complete novices getting behind the wheel for the first time to those who have already passed their test but want to improve on their skills and confidence.
In addition to driving lessons, my services also include motorway and refresher lessons. All lessons are on a one-to-one basis and I am a calm and reliable instructor and will teach you the skills required to become a confident and competent driver. So whatever your driving experience and ability, why not contact me today to find out what I can do for you?

Services
As a photo is required for your licence the DVLA can use your passport photo if you have one.
If you don't have one, or you want to use a different one, this will need to be sent to the DVLA separately.
You can find costs for all licence types here.
Before you start the hazard perception part of the test, you'll be shown a short video clip about how it works before being shown a series of video clips on a computer screen.
The clips feature everyday road scenes and contain at least one developing hazard - but one of the clips will feature two developing hazards.

Unfortuantely, statistics show that new drivers of any age are more likely to have a collission within the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career.
While this is really just down to a lack of experience insurance premiums merely reflect the increased risk.
Your initial driver training should provide you with a varied range of road and traffic conditions, however, this training often takes place on familiar roads around Basingstoke or other areas we cover, as there are time constraints and lesson objectives to consider.
