In the practical test, you will be asked two 'show and tell' questions about safety and maintenance checks on your car.
Getting one or both of them wrong will count as a driving fault in your test.
Knowing that someone is watching and judging your every move can be pretty bizarre as well.
Before you do any driving you'll be asked to perform an eyesight check and then be asked some vehicle safety questions.
You'll then be tested on your general driving ability, including one reversing exercise.
Being a good driver is about more than handling a car.

Tell me where you'd find the information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressures should be checked.
Manufacturer's guide, use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold, don't forget spare tyre, remember to refit valve caps.
Tell me how you make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted so it provides the best protection in the event of a crash.
The head restraint should be adjusted so the rigid part of the head restraint is at least as high as the eye or top of the ears, and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable.

Exams are nerve-wracking at the best of times, and driving tests can feel particularly harrowing.
Knowing that someone is watching and judging your every move can be pretty bizarre as well.
It would be enough to make most people feel self-conscious if they were just carrying out an everyday task such as opening their post, let alone demonstrating a complex skill like driving.
So if you've got your test coming up and you're feeling anxious about it, then remember you're not alone.
Most people suffer from nerves to some extent and they can in fact be beneficial by raising your adrenaline levels and making you more alert.
