Hi my name is Paul and welcome to my web site. I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I am passionate about road safety. To tell you a little bit about myself. I left school at 17 and joined the Royal Air Force where I served for 38 years. During my time in the military I was lucky enough to travel all around the world and met some fantastic and interesting people.
It was whilst in the military that I found that I had a flare and passion for coaching students and helping them to reach their full potential. My family settled into North Yorkshire 15 years ago after we fell in love with the Yorkshire Dales and we continue to enjoy the close community life this offers. Linda and I married in 1987 and I have two sons and a wonderful grandson who is helping me to stay young.

It is a system where each driving lesson is carefully planned and follows a set programme with clearly defined targets, where the instructors use professional training materials and modern training methods to ensure training is both effective and enjoyable.
This section will teach you the basic control skills needed to drive safely.
This is the starting point for most people and essential if you have no previous driving experience.

Endorsements, penalty points and driving bans will no longer be recorded on driving licences, but will instead only be accessible online.
For insurance purposes, before your first driving lesson your Instructor is required to check your full licence details to see the vehicles you're allowed to drive, and to check for penalty points and disqualifications.
The consequences for not checking the above are very serious and this procedure is in place to protect you, your instructor and the general public.
