As your Instructor I am permitted to sit in the back if you want me to.
I am merely there as an Observer though and can play no part in the Test.
To begin you are tested on your general car based knowledge with a serious of 'show me tell me' questions.
These are simple questions designed to show that you have knowledge of some of the cars basic operating functions and systems.

If successful your Examiner will ask you if you would like him/her to send your Provisional license away to be replaced by your full driving license.
This route will be quicker than if you send it off yourself.
If you are unsuccessful the post-test debrief with the examiner should point out the areas to be worked on.
It's hard to take in when you have just had bad news but if you can take on board this valuable information, it highly likely that you will not make those errors again and we can both work together to achieve the pass on the next test.
